I didn't think this was a Christian novel when I picked it up at a second hand store, but once well into the novel there were some definite overtones. Not that I minded, it was a good read. The part that I'm having trouble coming to terms with is how much I disliked the main character, Sarah Graham. She's brusque, rude, and doesn't soften even at the end of the novel. Usually I would have lost interest in a story where I don't even like the characters, but Parrish wrote well. Although I probably won't be picking up another book by this author again, "Home Another Way" was alright.
