The View from Castle Rock, by Alice Munro

Hands down, Munro is my favourite Canadian author of the modern era (I'm still pretty loyal to good ol' LMM).  Her latest collection of short stories are her most personal, detailing her family history - and thus her own history.  I love my own family history which is perhaps why I was so drawn to the stories here.  Munro is unequivocally Canadian in her writing. You can see the passion she has for her country and its people rise up from the page.  A good read for when the world is watching Canada and its Olympics!
