Not the best book I've read so far this year, but not the worst either. The novel starts out with the narrator openly admitting that she's unreliable. The setting is modern day Salem, Mass., but witches and any of that nonsense are not brought up in the novel. Towner, the narrator, returns to her hometown after the death of a beloved aunt, and must deal with the fallout. It was interesting, and I don't think I wasted my time reading it, but I'm looking forward to picking up the next novel.
