MacIntyre wrote this past year's Giller Prize winner: The Bishop's Man. It was my free selection when I renewed my Doubleday Book Club membership. It was ok. It bounced around a lot as Duncan dealt with all his troubled priestly past. I can see its merit, and I'm glad I read it, but it's not my favourite novel. It covered some topics I'd rather not rehash in my own life, let alone see in print.
