Teaching Boys

image from Flickr

For one reason or another, most of my students are boys.  And it makes for some great stories at the end of the work day.  This morning, two boys were talking to each other about football.  One guy was going on about which teams were out of the playoffs and which team he was going to cheer for.  They talked about Giants and Cowboys and Eagles and Packers and Bears.  A little girl beside the boys was listening to them chat, and her eyes kept getting wider and wider.  Finally, she looks at me with amazement and says: "Giants and Cowboys... wow, what do those guys do at night?!"  I guess she thought their lives were much more exciting than hers.
