I know that it seems as though I've been reading a lot lately, but it's more that I've been nursing several books that I've finally been able to put to rest. This is the first Jane Urquhart novel I've ever read, and I have enjoyed it. I'm glad that I've been selecting more Canlit this year. And as for total books, I've been reading about ten books per month, so I'm proud of myself so far! Anyways - back to 'Away' - it was a really interesting read because of the subject matter. I learned a great deal of Irish-Canadian history while working at the Haunted Walk of Ottawa, and this was a great compliment to what I know to be fact, and what I have learned to be speculation.
