This afternoon, although I didn't stay long, was the annual memorial service at St. Stephens in Greermount. It's literally in the middle of nowhere, but where so many of our ancestors settled. Indeed, I had family that helped build this church. But what was most beautiful at this service was the unexpected voice of a friend of mine, who stood and sang, "May Morning Dew," A Capella. There wasn't a dry eye in the house! So unbelievably fitting for the moment of talking of days gone by and the spirits of those long passed. It was really amazing and I hope we hear lots more!
