Artful Wednesday: Cate Parr

This evening after work, I went for my weekly trip to the library, and found a great book on painting figures in watercolour.  Inspired, I went floating through Etsy and found Cate Parr, of silverridgestudio.  Her portraits have an ethereal quality that come from the carefully chosen colour schemes.  I just love the concept - she paints a figure, but she also leaves some of the figure unpainted - it lets the viewer fill in the blanks.  Sometimes what is left to the imagination is much better than what is painted out plainly.
