For whatever you have to do, in whatever time or place, you have to eventually jump off the dock. You have to take a deep breath, plug your nose if necessary, and take that leap into what might be pleasantly warm waters - or in most cases... water on the unpleasant side.
I put off painting for so long. I kept telling myself that I didn't have time, that I wasn't inspired, that I wasn't good enough. Tonight, I scouted out a picture and just jumped.
Was the water cold? A little. But it felt warmer the longer I was swimming around.
