I do a lot of "parent-coaching" in my line of work. Basically, it's helping new parents navigate the world of young children. Sometimes, new parents have unrealistic expectations - children are children, not little adults. So this week I had the immense pleasure of going out walking in the mild winter weather and exploring puddles. It was a blast. We came home soaked. When the eyebrows of the grown-ups in the house shot to to ceiling I reminded them: puddles are fun. And life's too short to worry about getting a little wet and messy.
